Therapeutic Preschool

We support social and emotional learning for children ages 3-5 years old. Here, children who have experienced trauma and need emotional and behavioral support can find the environment that they need to heal, build confidence and pave the way to be successfully enrolled in a traditional school setting.

The Experience Early Learning Curriculum aligns with the Pennsylvania Learning Standards for Early Childhood. The Developmental Continuum of the Experience Early Learning Skills is a research-based continuum of 35 skills that indicate child development and learning. Each skill has up to three measurable learning goals.

The Second Step curriculum has a dual social-emotional and child protection focus. Lessons create a positive and safe learning environment for the whole child, bringing together social-emotional learning, executive function, self-regulation, and child safety to foster a safe and supported learning environment.
